This is a vintage kinetic balance model of a little rowboat with its skipper rowing along. Touch the pendulum weight and the boat rocks and the oars row faster. Made by Authentic Models from heavy metal, it is hand painted in a richly crackled, distressed finish. About 17” tall and the rowboat is 10” wide. A perfect tabletop accent for your nautical décor, these were called ‘skyhooks’ in Victorian times. Most do nothing except rock, while this one actually rows the oars. Item is in excellent preowned condition. No box.
