Very Nice Pressed Glass Bowl probably made before 1910. This one was made by McKee at the time and is marked
PRES
CUT
on the inside bottom center of the bowl. This is a little used form of the marking as of the ware produced at the time carried the mark in a single line as do the more recent reproductions.
The pattern was originally called "Sunburst" by McKee, but the Aztec was added later. It consists of ornate Pinwheels, Hobstars, Arches, Diamonds and other patterns as well. The Sawtooth top edges are also scalloped to add more eye appeal.
This example is very nice, only small chip to one tooth.
This bowl is as authentic as they get and a classic example of the height of the EAPG Period.
Measurements are 8.5 1/4" in diameter and about 3.25" Tall.
This will be a great addition to an authentic EAPG Collection.
